Dave and Eddie, getting after this spicy noon WOD today on their lunchtime "Recess," and joined by Tascha, Jeremiah and Matt for this two-part WOD. As we approach a Holiday weekend, for most of us it means we get a 3 day break, kicking off summer with a BBQ and an extra day is a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of monotony. Yes, let's enjoy our time, let's savor it and use the time to the fullest, but let's also remember all those who we are taking this holiday in remembrance: those who have died while serving in the country's armed forces. To drive home this remembrance, Murph is on our calendar for Monday (if you've ever seen "Lone Survivor," you know the story. If you haven't, rent it.), and we'll look to WOD, suffer and celebrate in honor.
Taking some time to recover, rejuvenate and reinvigorate is important, whether it is in CrossFit or life. Sometimes we need to get away, sometimes we need a change of scenery.
